Ty Cary
Although
people are unaccustomed to men sewing, Ty’s handiwork is found
in the backpacks of hundreds of hunters worldwide. Early on he assumed
the role of sewing our bags and has done an expert job. While he
knows that this task is vital to the sustainability of CaryOn, he
found that his niche is doing marketing. He started assisting his
brother, Brinton, in a teacher-student relationship. It didn’t
take long before he was pursuing contacts and completing tasks with
what seemed like reckless abandon. While not formally educated in
marketing, Ty has blended natural ambition and a true love of hunting
to become a determined young businessman.
He got a deer his first season of hunting and has continued that
success every year since. Ty has developed a knack for finding trophy
blacktail deer but enjoys hunting everything in the woods just like
the rest of the men in the family. His success is no small task
being that the blacktail deer provides one of the most challenging
hunts in the world to both rifle and archery hunters. In 2003, Ty
drew a controlled Eastern Oregon tag for mule deer and took a beautiful
4x4 buck on opening day that went 152 B&C, good enough to qualify
as a record in the youth category (he was 17 at the time). To sum
him up, if somebody’s goin’ huntin’, Ty wants
to go.
